Former Member of Parliament (MP) of La Dadekotopon Nii Amassah Namoale has vowed to beat John Mahama in the NDC primaries if he dares contest the elections.

He said he has laced his boots and would beat ‘anyone who dare contest’ him in the next primaries of the party.

According to him, "I will beat anyone who would contest me including John Mahama."

Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for Yunyoo constituency, Joseph Bipoba Naabu said former President John Mahama should be replaced because he is not the only presidential material to contest.

Nii Amasah Namoale lost his La Dadekotopon Constituency seat after polling some 38,504 votes at the just ended elections.

He was beaten by former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club and King Faisal Football Club, Mr. Vincent Sowah Odotei who had 40,126 votes.

Nii Amasa Namoale, who has served three terms in Parliament, occupied the seat which had been earlier held by Mr Ako Nai of the NPP between 2001 and 2005.

The seat was first won by the NDC’s Sylvester Mensah in 1992 and he served as the MP until he lost the seat in 2000.
