One Abdul Rahman Alhassan has been arrested for snatching ballot papers in the Nanton constituency.

Voting was temporarily put on hold as a result in the constituency where the incumbent Dep. Minister for Trade and Industry Mutala Mohammed is an incumbent.

Kumbungu constituency election has been rescheduled for tomorrow following discussions between aspirants on one hand and constituency and regional Executives over allegations of bloated register.

About 440 illegal names have been taken from the register after some of the aspirants questioned the register’s credibility.

Meanwhile there was heavy police police and military patrol in the Savelugu constituency amidst threats of violence by supporters of Hajia Mary Boforo and the MCE Alhassan Red.

The Bunkpurugu constituency elections was also put on hold due to a court injunction filed by Nanbur Berik.
