Family marks one year anniversary of death of JB Danquah-Adu

The Family of the former MP for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, has marked the one-year anniversary of his death on Saturday.

Mr. Danquah Adu was murdered at his Shiashie residence on February 9, 2016.

A suspect, Daniel Asiedu was arrested, after allegedly confessing to committing the crime.

He is currently standing trial for the murder, but relatives of the late MP have always felt that the case is being delayed.

NPP heavy weights such as the Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Eastern Regional Minister Eric Kwakye Darfour, Abuakwa North MP Gifty Twum Ampofo, NPP Eastern Regional First Vice Chair Alhaji Umar Bodinga, and other leading members attended the event.

--Wife demands Justice--

Ivy Danquah-Adu, the wife of the late MP has expressed worry over the delay in prosecuting the supposed killers of her late husband.

“It has not been easy for us. What has been a story for many people and an event that occurred has been our reality; my children and I, but God has kept us alive. Justice delayed is justice denied,” she said.
