Wake up and let’s win 2016 - Mornah to PNC members

The PNC on Saturday elected new national executives and a flagbearer to lead them into the 2016 presidential elections.

The newly elected chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah has charged party members to wake up from their slumber and help the party win the 2016 general elections.

Mornah, who won the race by a landslide on Saturday, said “those of you who were sleeping, come back,” insisting that it is time for the PNC to execute all its big ideas.

The party re-elected Dr. Edward Mahama who led the party from 1996 through to 2008. He however failed to win power for the party and was replaced in 2012 by Hassan Ayariga.

Addressing party delegates after the elections, Mr. Mornah was optimistic that “with the ideas of Dr. Edward Mahama, combined with the youthful energy of Bernard Mornah and all others who are elected into the new national executives of our party; the PNC shall rise.”

According to him, the new leadership together with the party members “shall make a formidable political party and create a better Ghana beyond what the NDC is doing.”
