The Togolese Electoral Commission has turned down request from the Electoral Commission of Ghana asking for its voters' register due to claim that names of over 76, 000 Togolese are found in the Ghanaian register particularly in the Volta Region.

The opposition New Patriotic Party has alleged it has discovered 76,286 potential names and faces of individuals in both Ghana and Togo register.

According to the party, the evidence is damning and shows that Ghana's register is bloated.

The party said, it remains concerned with the disparity in the total number of registered voters provided by the EC at different times during the 2012 election cycle.
