Ejisu-Juabeng rejects Yamoah Ponko as MCE

Mr Yamoah Ponko who was once MCE for the Ejisu Juabeng assembly failed to get the nod as forty-one assembly members voted against him.

Yamoah Ponko has been rejected as the Municipal Chief Executive of the Ejisu-Juabeng Municipal assembly.

He was  re-nominated by President John Mahama in November 2015 and he managed to poll 25 votes in his favour but was not enough for him to give him the nod.

Report indicates that there was wild jubilation in Ejisu when news broke that the assembly has rejected Mr Ponko.

Speaking to Accra-based Joy FM after failing to get the assembly's nod, Yamoah Ponko said he is unfazed by the outcome of the first round because “the next round a different story will be told.
