The Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Mike Ocquaye has hit back at the

The Minority has threatened to impeach the Speaker of Parliament. According to the Minority, the Speaker is biased towards them in the House.

Minority Chief Whip, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka  said the NDC MPs are not treated well and given the chance by Prof. Aaron Michael Oquaye to debate on national issues.

He said the Speaker has been bias against them cataloging a number of critical moments and denied them to voice out their displeasure or question ministers of state who appear before parliament to answer to issues relating to their ministry.

But Prof. Mike Ocquaye, however, at today’s sitting insisted he’s been fair to the minority. He also advised them to abide by the official way of expressing their grievances.

"I’ll advise since it has been raised that Please whoever feels disrespect, use the appropriate processes and honesty that which you know refer to which happened in parliament should not happen again, i’ll say so with all respect  for the records, tomorrow posterity will judge all of us," he said.
