According to him, the flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo is a very 'bold character', adding that he wishes him well in the 2016 polls.

The various political parties in the country, including the ruling National Democratic Congress, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and the Convention People's Party have already began campaigns to galvanise for votes in order to win the upcoming elections.
Pressure is also mounting on the Electoral Commission to give a clear timetable for validation to clean up the voters' register.
This follows concerns by some Ghanaians, including Pro-NPP pressure group, Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA), that the voters' register is bloated.

In an interview on Accra-based GHONE TV, the former president, Jerry Rawlings charged the EC to approach its work with integrity. He also urged Ghanaians to be vigilant and 'play it [elections] fair'.
"I want Ghanaians to be very vigilant. That is the only way we can have free and fair elections and that is the only way we can have peace. I think we were quite vigilant in the last one; we must double the effort, so that no one will misbehave," former president Rawlings added.
