He alleged that two ministers in government are involved in the plot that led to the death of Mahama including Mr. Rockson Bukari, the Upper East Regional Minister.

But the Free Gregory Afoko Movement said the IGP must immediately arrest Bugri Naabu to help in investigations surrounding the gruesome murder of Adams Mahama.

The group in a statement jointly signed by Bright Abakosem National Coordinator and Umar Abdul Shakour Secretary and copied to Pulse.com.gh said "the arrest and incarceration of Mr.  Gregory Afoko was unfortunate and in a bad taste. Recent revelations by Mr.  Bugri Naabu confirms our long-held belief that Mr.  Gregory Afoko is innocent."

It added that "It is against the backdrop of these revelations by no mean a person than the Northern Regional Chairman of the ruling party that we call on the President of the Republic and the IGP to arrest Mr.  Bugri Naabu for further information to help put the murder of Adams Mahama to rest."

Adams Mahama died in the hospital following an acid attack on May 20, 2015.
