Akufo-Addo arrives in Mali for France-Africa Summit

The Summit, which is aimed at enhancing the integration process, collective action and cooperation for the common good of participating countries and their people, will bring together Heads of state and Governments from some 30 countries.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has arrived in Bamako, Mali, for this year's France-Africa Summit.

The Ghanaian leader touched base in Mali Friday afternoon in his first foreign trip since becoming President.

He was accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

President Akufo-Addo interacted with the Ghanaian community leaving Mali and also met Ghanaian service commanders serving in the  country.

In addition, he held a meeting with Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta in a bid to boost relation between Accra and Bamako.

The first family are expected to return home on Saturday, January 14, 2017.
