Government on Wednesday November 18, 2015 issued a White Paper on the Judgment Debt Commission’s report in which it accuses the opposition flagbearer of causing financial loss to the state for issuing payment.
According to the Judgement Debt Commission’s report, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture’s failure to pay US firm Delta Foods for imported maize in 1997 resulted in a 2 million judgment debt.

The report added that, i. It was the improper and wrong decision of the Office of the Attorney-General to seek a certiorari in the Supreme Court on a mere technicality in proceedings that it had participated in that burdened the Government with the additional US$4.9 million judgment debt payment.
ii. The US$4.9 million payment authorized by Hon. Nana Akufo Addo and paid to the solicitor for Delta Foods Ltd., Hon. Peter Ala Adjetey, constituted a huge financial loss to the State.
iii. The office of the Attorney-General did not exhibit candour and good faith in seeking the order of certiorari at the Supreme Court.
