The Electoral Commission (EC) has indicated that all electorates who did not find their name on the special voters register list will be given the opportunity to vote.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Head of Communications at the EC, Eric Kofi Dzakpasu.
The statement indicated that the EC met with the Presidential Candidates and their running mates on Thursday morning to address the issues.
“The Commission is working with the hierarchy of the security agencies to resolve the challenge as soon as possible.”

“We urge the security personnel affected to remain calm. Appropriate arrangements will be made for them all to vote in this year’s elections.”

In Klottey-Korle Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, some of the electorates say they have been asked to go to their actual constituencies they registered in to vote.
In Tamale, it was reported that the regional police commander DCOP Ken Yeboah could not find his name in the special voting list.
In Nima, in the Greater Accra Region, the electoral process was halted following confusion at the polling Centre due to some missing names in the voters’ register.
Many people have raised questions about what will happen during the main elections on December 7 which is barely a week away.
But the EC has assured it will do its best to avoid such incidents do not happen on the main Election Day.
