Voter register exhibition exercise is a sham - NPP's Agyarko
Speaking to Pulse.com.gh, Kyeremateng Emmanuel Agyarko of the New Patriotic Party said events being recorded at the various centres he has visited indicates that “these so-called 56000 names that have been cancelled is a sham.”

The exercise which began on Monday, July 18 is meant to offer prospective voters the chance to check whether their voting details on the register are correct and their fingerprint verified to avoid any inconvenience during the general elections.
However, speaking to Pulse.com.gh, Kyeremateng Emmanuel Agyarko of the New Patriotic Party said events being recorded at the various centres he has visited indicates that “these so-called 56000 names that have been cancelled is a sham.”
“I think that this is not a very good exercise. I’m at La Bawaleshie; they’ve cancelled names of people who are supposed to have been registered with the NHIS. The people there are telling me that three people have come and they are saying they didn’t register with the NHIS. I think it is a sham. In other places, the electoral officers don’t even know where they are going to,” Agyarko lamented.

Meanwhile, some exhibition centers visited by Pulse.com.gh in the Ayawaso West Wougon constituency recorded low turn-out of eligible voters to validate their records.
“As at now, the exercise has been very slow, there hasn’t been any difficulties anyway, Michael Addo, an exhibition officer said.
Another exhibition officer said his centre verified four people at the time of filing this story.
The exercise takes place in all the 29,000 polling centers across the country, and is expected to end on Sunday, August 7.
