The battle between Tina Mensah and Obuobia Darko ahead of this year’s elections had been a tough one. Prior to the elections, the two had a bitter contest. Renowned pollster Ben Ephson predicted in a pre-election survey that Obuobia Darko-Opoku would lose the seat.

Weija-Gbawe constituency has 129 polling stations with 89,838 registered voters. This year's elections saw 60,061 voters turn up.
