Nobody wants to feel heavy when they have a number of activities in a day. Likewise, President John Mahama hates that feeling of heaviness after enjoying a bowl of fufu when he is on a campaign tour.

Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana on Tuesday, President Mahama said “when I’m on the campaign trail I don’t like to feel heavy so I don’t eat heavy food I take light food. I take some soup or something.”

President Mahama says he takes in more liquid when on the campaign trail.

“You have to take a lot of liquids and my doctors advise me to take a lot of fluids so I drink a lot of water and then I drink a lot of tea; black tea”

Studies have shown that black tea boost’s the immune system because it contains alkylamine antigens. It also protects its consumers from influenza, stomach flu and other common found viruses in our daily lives because it contains tannins that have the ability to fight viruses.

President Mahama is currently in the Central Region to canvass for votes. He has already toured the Western and Northern Regions campaigning for a second term in office.
