The Electoral Commission has said it is optimistic that the results of presidential and parliamentary elections would be announced within three days of the casting of the ballot.

“We are confident that we can still get all the results and declare within two maximum three days so we vote on December 7, by 10th of December, we get all the results announced", she stressed.

According to her, only the manual transmission of results is presently backed by law.
