Some irate supporters of the People’s National Convention (PNC), today (Tuesday) demonstrated at the party’s headquarters demanding the immediate removal of their National Chairman, Bernard Mornah, and the General Secretary, Atik Mohammed.
A former parliamentary aspirant of the PNC for Ayawaso North Mohammed Abdulai Gyanlo said they were giving the two Executive members a two-week ultimatum to step down.

He accused the two of doing the bidding of the two main political parties in the country.
Speaking to Accra-based Citi FM, he said, “we are where we are because of that greed. They personally came to power in order to amass wealth for themselves which some of us saw clearly and we decided to go against them.”
However, Atik Mohammed said the protestors were not members of the PNC and asked the general public to disregard this development.
He mentioned that the actual party members were in court during the time of the protest to support the flagbearer, Dr. Edward Mahama.
