Peace Council must intervene in impasse between EC and political parties – Mike Ocquaye

The EC had earlier disqualified 13 presidential hopefuls over some anomalies on their nomination forms.

He argued that the Peace Council cannot keep silent in the midst of all that is going on and expect to be good relationship between all.

The EC filed a suit at the Supreme Court praying that an earlier ruling by an Accra High Court asking them to allow the Dr Nduom correct the mistakes on his nomination form be quashed.

Some of the disqualified parties have headed to court seeking the court to nullify the decision taken by the EC.

But Ocquaye believes that the Peace Council cannot watch ideal and do nothing in this matter. He argued that they should not wait the issues to get out of hand before acting.
