‘1-District-1-Factory’ policy meaningless – Ahwoi

“Without roads, electricity, water and all that President Mahama is building across the country how would factories work?" Prof. Ahwoi asked.

According to him, such a policy will not work without the needed infrastructural projects.

The local government expert also questioned how the policy would hold at a place like Tema, which has over 400 factories.

“Does that mean Tema will receive a factory too?” he asked.

Prof Ahwoi was speaking to party supporters of the NDC at Brosankro in the Tano South constituency of the Brong Ahafo region.

The ace politician had earlier indicated that Prof. Kofi Abrefa Busia, a founding member of the UP tradition, would have had nothing doing with the current New Patriotic Party if he were alive in these times.

“Nana Addo has sacked the chairman of his party, Paul Afoko, his General Secretary is nowhere to be found and his vice chairman is also out of the party. It demonstrates Nana Addo’s incompetence which is a reflection of how bad his leadership will be if he were given the opportunity to govern this country.”

He attributed these developments in the opposition party to Nana Addo’s “intolerance and vindictive character”.

Prof Ahwoi made this known while addressing NDC sympathisers at Subinso in Wenchi.
