The Presidential nominee of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has said that he will deport all Chinese nationals engaging in illegal mining if he becomes President after the December 7 polls.

Dr Nduom was addressing a rally at Ejisu-Juaben in the Ashanti Region.

“I will not promise you one district one factory. Small-scale mining by law is reserved for Ghanaians but the Chinese have disobeyed the law and are involved in galamsey. Do we not have a president in this country? If the PPP is given the mandate to govern, I, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, will ensure that Chinese who disobey the law will be deported.”
