The Director of Communications for the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), James Asante who confirmed this to Pulse.com.gh said the party will issue an official statement to announce a new date for the manifesto launch.

He said the statement will also reveal reasons why the manifesto launch has been cancelled.

There have been criticisms from various quarters over the delay in the release of a manifesto by the two major political parties.

The New Patriotic Party has often explained that they were delaying because they did not want the NDC to copy portions of their campaign document into their manifesto.

But NDC’s general secretary has said the NDC is not scared about its opponents stealing ideas from its manifesto.

In the December polls, President John Mahama will be leading the NDC while Nana Akufo Addo leads the NPP. The NDC is aiming at winning a second term as the governing party.
