An aggrieved activist of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kumasi has locked the regional party office for the party’s defeat in the just ended election.

He explained that this was to punish the executives of the NDC for taking such decisions. He questioned why the party could not meet its one million target in the Ashanti region.

“We cannot meet with our supporters as we speak. As a regional body we need to do a postmortem of exactly what happened and the way forward. After we have diagnosed the problem, we will meet our party faithful and tell them exactly what happened and the way forward.”

Most members of the NDC are blaming the leaders of the party for causing the defeat of the NDC in the just ended December 7 polls.

In Greater Accra, a party supporter stormed the NDC national office and threatened the National Youth Organiser and other executives available during a press conference.
