President John Mahama has picked nomination forms to contest the 2016 presidential elections.
The forms were picked on behalf of the president by the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho.
Presidential and parliamentary candidates are mandated to a filing fee of GH¢50,000 and GH¢10,000 respectively but several political parties have raised concerns with the pricing.
Speaking to journalist after picking the form, Anyidoho said the decision by the EC to charge those amounts as filing fees are administrative.
He added, “The day you allow to begin to take administrative decisions for the Electoral Commission, you have messed up the whole process."
