“I have a vision to be a good politician who will serve Mother Ghana, so when I realised things were not moving on well in my party, I decided to make this bold decision. Certain things were not going on well, like corruption. My party was being selective, so I said to myself: ‘It’s just some few days to election and I love Mother Ghana, so why do I have to wait for the electorate who are behind me to vote for PPP when PPP just wants a percentage so that the election will go into a runoff.”

She called members and supporters of the PPP nation–wreckers. She said the supporters of PPP knew very well the party will not win the presidential elections but will only push the election into a run-off.

“Do you know how much it costs to run an election? So if you say you love Ghana and yet you will do anything for this election to go into a run-off, that means you are a nation wrecker. I want to be part of a team that has Ghana at heart and that team is the NDC.”

Meanwhile, the flag bearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has accused the governing NDC of bribing PPP parliamentary candidates so they could resign from the party.

According to him, the NDC has begun bribing PPP members with cars, money and other goodies in an attempt to win them over.

His allegations come on the back of claims by the NPP that Ibrahim Mahama, brother of President John Dramani Mahama tried bribing the NPP northern regional chairman to “tarnish Nana Addo as anti-Northern.”
