Presidential and parliamentary candidates are mandated to a filing fee of GH¢50,000 and GH¢10,000 respectively but several political parties have raised concerns with the pricing.

The party, however, described the GHS50, 000 filing fee as exorbitant but Professor Delle said the party would comply with the rules of the commission.

Speaking to journalist after picking the form, Edmund Delle said, “Just as we met the requirement when we were asked to present our accounts, we were the first to present it and this one too, I’m sure that we will do it as diligently as we can and come back and present it.”

He added that, “The EC says they will consider our complaints and get back to us. …We are still waiting for this revision but as a party, we have agreed to come and take the form, go and fill it, and we hope that within this period of time, maybe they will review it and we will see the way forward... As CPP, we support state institutions, we support the EC, but the query was that we never expected that it will be so high, so the presidential nominee was taken aback, even if it was increased by 100 per cent but you can see the increment was 1000 per cent."
