The wife of the presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has said that she has no reason to doubt the credibility of the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) ahead of the December polls.

This is despite the challenges faced by  the party her husband is leading into the presidential race.

Speaking on Accra-based Starr FM Mrs Yvonne Nduom said “I don’t have any reason to doubt her. I trust she will do good.”

She said she believed Mrs Charlotte Osei will exhibit much integrity during the elections because she (Mrs Osei) has often said she needs to have extra powers to be able to rig the elections.

“As a woman, I am happy that such an accomplished woman has risen to that position. It is good for women. With the issue with the electoral commission, I wasn't very happy with it but our judiciary has come out and shown that they will always do the right thing. They rose to the occasion and did what has to be done,” she said.

Mrs Yvonne Nduom also encouraged Ghanaian electorates to make a bold decision and vote for her husband, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom.

“If you are Progressive minded, this is an opportunity to vote for someone who can do the job and that is the PPP. Those who want to Progress in life should join the Progressive People's Party”.

She said both the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the biggest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) have failed Ghanaians and left them with no hope.
