The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party Ishmael Ashietey has promised to deliver 58 percent of the popular votes from the Greater Accra region to ensure that Nana Akufo-Addo is elected president.

He made the statement during the launch of the Greater Accra Regional campaign team of the party in Tema.

"I am coming before you and the leadership of Greater Accra to confidently tell you that I am going to win Greater Accra for the New Patriotic Party. I am not just telling you, I am going to win Greater Accra. Greater Accra is going to give Nana Akufo-Addo 58 percent of the popular votes," he said to sustainable cheers and vuvuzela sounds.

"I stand before you to promise you that I am giving you 25 parliamentary seats in the Greater Accra region," he said.
