Speaking in an interview with Accra based Adom FM, Asante said the statement of the EC amounts to disrespect of the Apex court of the land.

According to him, the court's ruling was clear and that the EC does not require extra sense to understand the ruling.

"Is the EC telling us they need extra sense to understand the Supreme Court ruling? They are just doing this to plunge this country into chaos” he said.

Meanwhile, one of the plaintiffs in the case, Abu Ramadan has instructed his lawyer to file contempt charges against all seven members of the EC.

The Acting General Secretary of NPP has also indicated that the party is considering boycotting IPAC meetings over supposed bias of the commission.
