The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has described the Electoral Commission as a confused institution after making a controversial U-turn on the Elections Steering Committee for the November 2016 polls.
According to the Communications Director, Nana Akomea, the EC will put the nation at risk if it continues to be inconsistent in its decision over the composition of the 18-member national election steering committee which has raised concerns among Ghanaians.
A few weeks ago, the EC inaugurated an 18-member national election steering committee but some opposition political parties and some pressure groups raised concerns about the membership of the committee, some of whom were said to be members of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
