1.  The Majority Leader indicated that his party was more formidable and united than ever before to retain power in the December 7 elections. “The confidence and motivation of both leadership and members of the party is high and this is what would propel us to victory,” Mr. Bagbin stated.

2.  He argued that the governing NDC had built upon the solid foundation laid by former President John Evans Atta Mills which had provided them a solid record of performance to stand on for victory in the upcoming elections. 3.  Bagbin stressed that the party had a solid and credible manifesto which will convince the electorate to vote for them on December 7.

4.  He said the party’s ‘Green Book’ has exposed “the shameless” effort by NDC’s political opponents who claim the Mahama-led government has done nothing.

5.  The Majority Leader also revealed that the ruling party has enough resources to facilitate victory for the party.

Meanwhile, the Majority Leader in Parliament, Alban Bagbin has said that the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) must win at least two-thirds of the 275 seats in parliament in this year’s elections.

He expressed hope that President John Mahama would win a second term, but said “the area of uncertainty is the number of parliamentary seats the party is going to win”.

To surmount these challenges in the constituencies, Bagbin called on the national campaign committee to adopt strategies tailored at solving all interpersonal relationship issues within the various constituencies.
