Ayariga unveils Running Mate

The 64-year-old Carl Bartels is from Elmina in the Central Region and also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ghana and Nigeria, with over 17 years of working experience.

Mr. Emmanuel Carl Bartels, until his election on Friday, was the First National Vice-Chairman of the All People’s Party.

In his acceptance speech at a ceremony in Accra to outdoor him, Mr Carl Bartels said he believed in the ideals of the APC flag bearer and would therefore complement his efforts in winning the December 7 polls.

“I saw what he [Ayariga] had and said this program and policy objectives looked good. This policy about all-inclusive governance and realized that it has the ingredient of biding the whole country and various ideologies together,” he said.

APC was provisionally certified by the Electoral Commission of Ghana in February, a few days after its formation.

Mr. Ayariga established APC after losing the presidential primaries of the People’s National Convention to former candidate Dr Edward Nasigre Mahama.
