Mahama honoured as Nkosuohene at Kwahu

The Acting Omanhene of the Traditional Area and chief of Abetifi speaking on behalf of the Chiefs in the area, thanked the President for the numerous projects in the area.

The Acting Omanhene of the Traditional Area and chief of Abetifi, Nana Asiedu Agyeman lll, speaking on behalf of the Chiefs in the area, thanked the President for the numerous projects in the area.

He expressed the gratitude of the Kwahu people for the decision by government to locate the second campus of the Eastern University in the area, announcing a 600 acre land allotted by the chiefs for the construction.

He mentioned the Fodoa Community Day Secondary School, the ultra-modern hospital in Abetifi, asphalting of major roads in Kwahu, work on the Nkawkaw-Atibie road, the Kwahu water project, the upgrade of some basic schools and many more others taking place in the area.

His excellency [Mahama] is now the Nkosuohene of the whole Kwahu Ridge, he noted.

President Mahama is in the Eastern region for a five-day campaign tour

On the third day, Mr Mahama will head for the Abuakwa South constituency, the home of his arch-rival Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party.

The president will also call on the Okyenhene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, after which a mini-rally will be called in his honour at the Kyebi Lorry Park.

He will then continue to Adoagyiri-Nsawam, Akuapim North and South and then the Okere constituency, where he will wrap up with a mini-rally at Adukrom.

On the last day, Mr Mahama will head for Koforidua and later end his tour at Lower Manya Krobo on Friday, October 28.
