321,845 national delegates will vote to elect parliamentary candidates and also affirm the candidature of sitting president,John Dramani Mahama as flag bearer for the 2016 elections.

This particular election is crucial and special because for the first time in the history of the NDC, the party has opened its electoral register to allow all card bearing members to partake in this process.

There are however key constituencies to watch out for across the country, such as the Keta, Ketu South, Buem, Adentan, Korle Klottey, Ashiaman, Ledzokuku and La Dadekotopon constituencies.

Another constituency to watch is the Ningo-Prampram where E.T Mensah is being contested by Presidential staffer, Sam George.

The Member of Parliament has occupied the constituency seat since 1992 as no aspirant has been able to defeat him in neither the primaries nor the parliamentary elections.

The primaries are expected to be keen across the Greater Accra Region where, among the 106 aspirants, there are 12 females.

Other constituencies to be keenly contested are Adentan, Madina, La Dadekotopon, Ledzokuku Krowor and Shai Osudoku.

The Executive Director of the National Service Scheme, Dr. Michael Kpessah Whyte is contesting the incumbent David Tetteh Asumeng in Shai Osudoku constituency.

David Tetteh Asumeng has been accused of been careless and clueless as to what to do to tap the natural resources in the constituency for development.

Some incumbent and experienced Members of Parliament and even first timers, whose legislative dream will come to an end after the party’s impending primaries.

Ablekuma North is a stronghold of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) with a huge gap; hence, it would be difficult for any NDC candidate to win the seat.

Mr. Felix Kwakye Ofosu is running for the Ablekuma North seat and what he could do is to only increase the presidential votes in the constituency.
