Konadu Rawlings working with fast-sinking NPP - NDC

According to a statement signed by the Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho, he has asked its members to ignore attacks by Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has lashed out at Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings of working with the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to distract government's attention.

The statement said, "All comrades are by this release being asked to please ignore the blatant attack on the National Democratic Congress (NDC), from Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings.

"It is common knowledge that she is in cahoots with the fast-sinking NPP and because the Party is under serious pressure, she has decided to attack the NDC so we go into a dog fight with her to create an escape route for NPP," the statement noted.

Mrs. Rawlings in an address to her supporters in the Volta Region charged President John Mahama and his administration to accept criticisms because she believes that criticisms only go to serve the best interest of the president.

According to her, "No matter whom you are, no matter where you are, criticism is always important. If you don’t allow people to criticize you, you don’t know whether you’re charting a good path or doing the right thing.

Nana Konadu said, "Whatever it is, criticism is good for your own spiritual growth and upbringing and helps you to improve on your way of life…it is very important to have criticism and critique because it helps to bring you back in line.

"But if you say that you will not agree to anyone criticizing you because they have never been in your position, then you are someone we should put a big question mark on and not look at you as a leader at all", she added.

Nana Konadu stated that, "If you are a leader, you learn to accept criticisms. You cannot say that because somebody has not been president before they cannot criticise you.

"When you are charting a path, you don’t see what is behind you so you listen to what those monitoring tell you."

But the NDC believes Konadu Agyemang Rawlings is conspiring with the opposition NPP to run down President Mahama.
