The report tasked management of GNPC to take steps to recover the money from the two state enterprises.

The Public Accounts Committee of parliament on its part expressed dissatisfaction  over the apparent reluctance of GNPC to retrieve the monies.

However, the acting Chief Executive Officer of the GNPC, Mr Alexander Mould,  in a response to the concerns said there is a laid down agreement with the  institutions to ensure the monies are paid.

Ghana Gas’ debt,  he revealed,  was due to the transfer of GNPC pipelines  to the Ghana Gas Company.

He said, with regards to TOR, the GNPC was yet to agree with the refinery on the payment date, given that TOR had just started operations.

He  added that the GNPC would reach an agreement with TOR on a payment schedule.
