The Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport Company (BOST), Alfred Obeng did no wrong in the controversial sale of five million litres of off-spec fuel.
This follows an investigation conducted by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and National Security.
According to Myjoyonline.com a joint investigation conducted by the two security agencies showed cleared Alfred Obeng of any wrongdoing.

The investigation also showed that Obeng has no direct relationship with the firm he sold the ‘dirty fuel’ to; Movenpiina.
Obeng came under fire after it was revealed that he decided to sell five million litres of contaminated fuel to Movenpiina.
Many stakeholders called for the MD to resign for a full investigation to be conducted.

A preliminary investigation conducted by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) showed that the firm that purchased the fuel was not licensed.
The Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko subsequently formed an eight-member investigative committee to look into the transaction with Movenpiina.
Due to the recent developments, the Energy Minister is expected to announce the suspension of the investigations.
