Teachers and Educational Workers Union of the College of Health Sciences protested on Tuesday to register their anger over the consistent delays in the payment of their monthly salaries.

According to the workers, the situation, which has persisted over the years is bringing untold hardships on them and their dependents.

They want the University Management and the government to be fair to them by paying their salaries promptly to avert any untoward situation.

According TEWU, the school has threatened to freeze their salaries if they do not discontinue their indefinite strike. Members of TEWU embarked on an indefinite strike over their management’s failure to pay their interim market premium owed them since 2014.
