National President of the GJA, Afful Monney, told Citi News it was unethical for Mr. Burkason to be holding on to his position after his engagement in party politics.
“He cannot do politics while occupying the position as the regional chairman of the Ghana Journalist Association. Burkason is no more the regional chairman of the GJA in the Ashanti Region and the mantle falls on the Vice Chairman to act as chairperson till fresh elections are held in the Ashanti Region for his replacement,” he noted.
Mr. Burkason was one of the two aspirants in the Builsa North constituency primaries held last Saturday but lost.
