One person was killed and two others sustained severe injuries when four suspected armed robbers robbed a wholesale shop full of provisions at Zebilla in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region.
The robbers began firing indiscriminately into a crowd at the Akabaa's street in the Zebilla township after an alarm was raised by the attendants and the nearby shop owners in a bid to escape with their booty, TV3 news reports.
The robbers subsequently shot at the two attendants in the shop, killing a middle-aged man in the process.
The attendants were rushed to Zebilla District Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Zebilla hospital mortuary, pending further investigations.
