5 reasons why Juventus might win the final against Barcelona

Pulse.com.gh brings you five reasons why Juventus might just shock Barcelona to win the UEFA Champions League final

Though they are considered to be the underdogs in tomorrow's UEFA Champions League final, Juventus as we all know in football can also spring up surprises.

These are the five reasons why we think the Serie A champions will be 2015 UCL winners.

The Juventus team is full of experienced players:

Names and skills do not win you finals, experince does and that is what this Juvuntus team have in abundance. Barcelona will come up against a Juventus side that parades players who have seen it all at the biggest stage. Gianluigi Buffon has lost a Champions League final before in 2003, Andrea Pirlo has won two the 'Big Ear' twice while Patrice Evra will be playing in his fifth final.

Time for another Italian winner:

Since Jose Mourinho led Inter Milan won the trophy in 2010, no Italian team has managed to come near winning the Champions League. Since the year 200, Italian teams have only won the trophy just three times.  Since Inter last won the trophy, the other four biggest leagues in Europe have had one winner at least. It is time for another Italian team to win it.

Historic treble

Juventus will be striving to get to win a historic treble for the first time in their history. Having won the Serie A and the Coppa Italia, the players will be all out to complete the remarkable successful season. Barcelona have done that before, maybe its Juventus turn this season.

After Inter’s remarkable achievement in the 2009/2010 season, Italian teams’ performances in the lucrative Champions League was nothing to write about. For four straight seasons (2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014), no Italian team made it to the semi-final. It got so bad for the Serie A that their four slots for the Champions League was reduced to three. But all that could change following Juventus great run to the final of this season’s edition. And victory against Barcelona, could go a long way in making a statement that the Serie A still has what it takes to compete with Europe’s best.

Defence:

The biggest weapon Juventus have in the UEFA Champions League Final is their defence. Though Giorgio Chiellini is out injured, the likes Andrea Barzagli, Angelo Ogbonna, Leonardo Bonucci and Stephan Lichtsteiner have shown throughout this season that they can hold their own against any strike force.

The Underdog tag:

Barcelona are the overwhelming favourite to win the final tomorrow, but that might be a huge advantage from the counterparts from Turin. Juventus will be looking to surprise the Catalans and what better stage to do that than the UEFA Champions League final stage.
