Teenager in police custody on suspicion of killing David Darko

He was found on Saturday night unresponsive in South Norwood park in the UK

 

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of David Darko, 21 in South Norwood.

The teenager was arrested on Wednesday and is in custody at South London police station.

Mr Darko, 21, was found unresponsive after he sustained stab woods at a park on Saturday night.

He died some minutes later after paramedics could not revive him.

His mother Ivy Darko has appealed to the public to assist with information which will lead to the arrest of her son’s killer.

The former Archbisop Lanfranc student was killed just two weeks after his 21st birthday.

Police are still appealing for information while they continue with the investigation of after David Darko’s body was found  at South Norwood Recreation Ground on Saturday night.

Police were called at 7:47 pm Saturday night to report of a man lying unresponsive in the park but Darko was pronounced dead at 8:45pm after paramedics and police showed up at the scene.

They were called at 7.47pm that evening to reports of an unresponsive man in the park. Officers and paramedics attended, but he was pronounced dead at 8.45p.

His mother Ivy Darko is appealing to anybody with information on how her son was stabbed to come forward to the police

She told the croydonadvertiser.co.uk  "I want to beg the public, the community, parents to come forward if they know something. Some parents know what their children do and they cover up.”
