Event promoter and Busua resident Ebenezer Felix Bentum says murder suspect Arthur Simpson-Kent was arrested in Busua, and had been staying in the area.

The suspected killer of East Enders actress Sian Blake was arrested today by police.

He has been wanted since the bodies of Ms Blake and their two sons Zachary, eight, and Amon, four, were found on Tuesday buried in shallow graves in his family's back garden in the UK.

Bentum told Pulse.com.gh he met the man over the Christmas and New Year holiday and he had since been in the area.

Bentum was promoting his New Year party to people in the area and came across Simpson-Kent and told him about the programme around December 28.

“He was a bit down, he was not happy and did not look happy. Like he had a lot on his mind. He didn’t even pay attention to what I was saying.”

Bentum did not know who the man was at that stage.

“I was just talking to him, trying to promote my programme.”

He believed Simpson-Kent was in Busua for five to six days and was staying at a Dadson's Lodge.

“He was all around Busua, just chilling at the beach.”

Bentum said he saw Simpson-Kent in a police patrol car at about 4pm today.

“I saw the Ghana police driving with him around Busua.”

Receptionist of Dadson's Lodge in Busua Winfred Amoah confirmed to Pulse Simpson-Kent was staying at the lodge from December 28. However he gave the name Danquah Paul Kofi when he signed in.

She said she was surprised to hear who he really was today.
