Building collapses, crushes two to death

The sad incident which occurred at Esienimpong in the Ejisu Juabeng Municipality in the Ashanti Region also led to two others sustaining injuries.
 
 

A mother and her 5-year-old were crushed to death under the weight of a collapsed building on Thursday evening.

The sad incident which occurred at Esienimpong in the Ejisu Juabeng Municipality in the Ashanti Region also led to two others sustaining injuries.

The bodies of the deceased have since been deposited at the Ejisu Government hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy while Police commence investigations into the matter. The injured are receiving treatment at the same hospital.

Narrating the incident to Citi News, an eyewitness Adwoa Mary said the deceased and her family were seeking shelter when the rain started pouring in and rather met their untimely death.
