The Ghana National Fire Service has indicated it has no plans to recruit personnel into the service presently.

This is in response to a recent social media message circulating that the Service is recruiting personnel.

In a statement signed by the Acting Public Relations Officer, Timothy Osafo -Affum, the Service assured the public that any intended recruitment will be advertised in the dailies.

The statement said this will be followed by purchase of forms, invitation of qualified persons for body selection and examination and finally medical screening.

The Fire Service has therefore urged the public to report any person who acts as an intermediary for the purpose of recruitment to the nearest police station for the appropriate action to be taken.
