A man in his early 60s has been left to his fate after he was knocked down by a vehicle in a hit-and-run at the main stretch to Accra on the Tetteh Quarshie Roundabout .

Eyewitnesses told Pulse.com.gh that the incident occured around 7.30 wednesday evening when the man tried crossing the three-lane dual highway on the Tetteh Quarshie street.

The victim was bleeding heavily from the head and had very deep bruises on his face and both arms as well. A pedestrian however said a call had been made to the Police since the incident occurred about 30 minutes ago but they were yet to arrive.

It is however unclear as to why the man tried crossing the busy street in spite of the pedestrian footbridge that has been constructed for that purpose.
