Shake ups have begun at the Flagstaff House seeing the axing of Chief Of Staff, Prosper Douglas Kweku Bani and Ben Dotsei Malor
Chief Of Staff, Prosper Douglas Kweku Bani and Head of Communications at the Presidency, Ben Dotsei Malor have been axed from the Flagstaff House.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary to the President, Raymond Atuguba resigned over continuous friction and a strained working relationship with the Chief of Staff.
Dr Atuguba was speculated to have been fired but reports indicates that he tendered in his resignation letter.
President John Mahama is set to make major changes at the Flagstaff House soon, a move that will see several big shots replaced. Deputy Chief of Staff, Valerie Sawyerr replaces Prosper Bani.
These exits at the Presidency are prelude to a ministerial and cabinet shake-up originally scheduled for the last quarter of 2014 but was put on hold for unknown reasons.
Already, the changes have led to the exit of the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr Raymond Atuguba, Chief of Staff, Proper Bani and Head of Communications Ben Dotsei Malor and more heads are expected to roll in the coming days.
Also, Dr Kwesi Botchway, Chairman of the Ghana Gas Company and former Finance Minister, was also named by the Daily Guide newspaper as some of the staff to be affected by this reshuffle. The paper claims its sources are well placed in government.
Enquiries sent to government officials drew blank responses at press time, as they remain tight-lipped.
