Four people have been confirmed dead this morning, with over 40 others sustaining various degrees of injuries when a Metro Mass Transit bus collided with a tipper truck around Miotso, near Tema.

"On board the Metro Mass bus were 45 people out of which four have been confirmed dead and presently the bodies have been deposited at the Police hospital morgue and 41 others who sustained various degrees of injuries are at admission at the Tema General hospital," ASP Obeng told Accra-based Citi FM.

The injured have so far been sent to the Tema General Hospital.

Scores of people have thronged the hospital to identify relatives and family friends involved.
