Dubbed the 'Dubai-inspired' flyover, the new construction was meant to ease up traffic in that part of Accra, the capital of Ghana.

The Kwame Nkrumah Circle is a key intersection in the major road network in Accra.

The GH₵320.2 million projects were jointly financed by the Brazilian government and the government of Ghana.
