COP John Kudalor appointed as acting IGP

The IGP, Mohammed Alhassan, begins his accumulated leave prior to retirement.

 

The Director General of Operations of the Police Service COP John Kudalor has been appointed as the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) by President John Mahama, a statement from the Flagstaff House has stated.

The statement also noted that Deputy Director Operations of the Ghana Immigration Service Mr Felix Sarpong, has also been appointed to act as Director of Immigration.

The President, as per the Constitution, appoints the IGP in consultation with the Vice President who chairs the Police Council.
