COP Patrick Timbillah Under House Arrest Over Recruitment Scam

COP Patrick Timbilla has been interdicted over recent police recruitment fraud.

COP Patrick Timbillah, the Director General in charge of Human Resource has been put under house arrest over recent police recruitment fraud. He was arrested in connection with the fraud that hit the Ghana police service.

About nineteen (19) persons have been arrested by the police in connection with fraudulent police recruitment exercise.

Hundreds of young men and women turned up at five police training depots last Saturday for enlistment into the Ghana Police Service left disappointed.

They found that their recruitment letters were fake and that the purported enlistment was a scam.

The Western Regional Police Command arrested a 47-year-old man for his involvement in the recent fraudulent police recruitment exercise who admitted to the offence.

The suspect, Amos Kofi Brown, also called Ogyaframa, claimed he is a marketing manager of Radio Silver, a private radio station in Sekondi and doubles as an insurer.

A shea butter seller, Aisha Asumda was also arrested in the fraudulent activity.
